Life moves fast. Even now, while in lockdown, I feel as if I have twice the work and less time in order to pursue the things I want to pursue. Instead of regretting decisions you’ve made in the past and beating yourself up, as Elsa the snow queen would say, “Let it go.”

Plan on all you want, but remember to have a purpose or cause, when you have a leap of faith → show up even if you don’t want to. Done is better than perfect and this is how you progress forward.

Recently, I have been really into Marie Kondo’s idea of finding what “sparks joy” not only in your physical belongings but also in what happens in your life. I realized a lot of the activities that I do that light this little internal “happy flame” in me doesn’t cost a single cent. Some of my personal favorite examples that you may relate to including:

  • A warm/soulful cup of tea or coffee
  • Listening to a podcast or watching a movie while doing my nighttime skincare routine
  • Taking a long or short walk in nature by myself
  • Watching an old episode of a comedic show (For me it’s Brooklyn 99 or Monk)
  • A nice, warm shower

If you are dedicated to making the world a better place, remember that making time for yourself and making sure you’re in good health is of utmost importance. Be kind to your mind my friends!

If you are frustrated by anything it is good to be kind, fighting fire with fire will only make it worse; true strength is gentleness and grace is unconditional and accepting.
